Latest Atelier Yumia Has Series Biggest Launch Ever

Move over, Ryza Stout, there's a new alchemist in town! Koei Tecmo announced today that Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & The Envisioned Land has become the fastest-selling Atelier series game to date. Since the game’s launch, retailers have sold 300,00 units worldwide. This sales record dethrones the prior fastest-selling Atelier game, Atelier Ryze 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key. This prior entry of the Atelier series moved 290,000 units in the first week of sales.

Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & The Envisioned Land previously launched on all platforms on March 21st, 2025. Koei Tecmo notes it as the 26th main entry in the Atelier game series. This is a first for the Atelier series, as it historically has not been available to Xbox gamers. Koei Tecmo has also emphatically noted that this game is the perfect entry for new players to the Atelier universe. The story follows the alchemist Yumia Liessfeldt, who has been tasked in finding the "truth" in a ruined continent where alchemy is "taboo". Yumia, along with her group of companions, will travel the length of the continent to reach their goal.

Koei Tecmo has cited this Atelier game being a perfect entry point into the series, given the launch to all platforms, and a revamped battle system. Previous entries of the Atelier system operated on a turn-based combat system. Atelier Yumia will be the first of the series to have a real-time battle-system. This simultaneously allows for free movement around the battleground, along with swapping between characters and ranges of combat. The new system also allows for effective and devastating combos.
