There’s a lot going on for The Last of Us IP at the moment, a highly anticipated second season of the successful TV show and a PC release of the games second entry. If that wasn’t all, Naughty Dog have confirmed that The Last of Us 2 Remastered will receive new free content including maps and characters for the No Return game mode.
The Last of Us 2 Remastered will launch on PC on April 3 2025 following the PlayStation 5 release in 2024. To coincide with the PC launch, Naughty Dog will be treating players to new content for the rougelike No Return mode including two new characters _ Bill and Marlene; as well as four new maps _ Overlook, School, Streets and Nest.
For PlayStation players, the content will be free to download on April 3. The three Trophies that will be introduced with the update are:
- This Make You All Nostalgic?: Complete the Part I challenge track in No Return
- Biology Lesson: Kill a Bloater with the pump shotgun as Bill in No Return
- Queen Firefly: Kill 15 enemies with Marlene’s assault rifle in one encounter in No Return
Finally, to promote Naughty Dog’s next high-profile title, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, players will be able to equip a new outfit for Ellie inspired by the new IP. PC players can unlock this outfit by optionally linking their PlayStation Network accounts.
