The day has come. After an initial reveal through a press release, their presentation, and many, many rumours, we finally have price details on the new Radeon cards that was revealed through a presentation earlier today on AMDs official YouTube Channel.
The RX 9070xt will start at $599 USD, and the RX 9070 will come in at $549 USD, and both will release on March 6th 2025, which, for what they are offering, is pretty impressive. The 9070xt will feature AMDs new FSR 4, 64 compute units, 16 GB of GDDR6 memory, a boost clock of 2970MHz, and 1557 AI tops. As of now, no other version with more VRam have been announced, although that could always change. Since this will be the top end for this generation of Radeon cards, it’s hard to say what they will do.

The 9070 will cut the compute units down to 56, the boost clock down to 2520mhz,but still use the same 16GB of VRam. Even with all that, at $549 USD, this offering should still be tempting for people looking to upgrade.
Now I want to say a couple of things. During the presentation, there was talk about comparing both cards to last generations AMD Radeon offering, even saying the 9070 could beat the 7900GRE by as much as 30% in certain situations. As I said with NVIDIA’s reveal, if you are looking to upgrade, wait for reviews from the usual tech Youtubers before buying, and remember $549 and $599 are a baseline price. Triple fans, all metal variations are likely going to be more, and that’s all without considering board partners.
