Developer Innersloth has finally announced a new take on their highly successful title, Among Us. Among Us 3D doesn't yet have a full release date but a demo will be available during next week's Steam Next Fest.
The new take on the betrayal simulator is not a completely new game, it is essentially Among Us VR without the need for an expensive and cumbersome virtual reality headset. Players who play Among Us 3D will be able to play with Among Us VR players.
For those who haven't played Among Us VR, Among Us 3D will not change the formula of Innersloth's flagship title, rather offer an alternative way for players to lie and cheat to their friends online. A teaser trailer is now live on YouTube.

Taken from the Among Us 3D Steam listing:
"Among Us 3D is a party game of teamwork and betrayal. Experience the core Among Us gameplay you know and love "” tasks, sabotages, Emergency Meetings, and venting "” now in an extremely immersive, 3D environment where everything (yup, everything!) is close up and personal.
Grab your crew of 4-10 players and launch into a fully 3D version of the hit multiplayer game. Work together as Crewmates to complete tasks before one or more Impostors kill everyone aboard."
Players eager to try out the new title should check the Steam page next week for updates on the demo's launch.
Console and mobile release
Among Us has been highly successful across multiple platforms including mobile, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. There is no news of a launch on console or mobile, however it is likely we will see the transition following a PC launch - the Steam page currently lists Among Us 3D as having cross-platform multiplayer.
