Its hard to believe it was back in June 2024 we were seeing our first glimpses of The Doomslayer in his new environment, The Dark Ages.
Id Software and Bethesda have revealed a release date for the highly anticipated next installment of the Doom series. Doom: The Dark Ages will be releasing on Xbox, PlayStation and Pc on the 15th of May.

Doom: The Dark Ages will be the eighth main entry in the Doom franchise and the third installment in the modern series following Doom Eternal. However, The Dark Ages serves as a prequel narratively.

We also got to see some new combat gameplay footage this morning during the Xbox Developer Direct. 2020s Doom: Eternal focused on fast paced aerial combat, while Doom: The Dark Ages has us grounded with a lot more power based combat with brutal melee counters with a chainsaw shield and flail.
Also announced for all you physical Doomslayers, there will be a Collector's bundle with a 12" Doomslayer, Steelbook and Replica key card. Plus some ingame goodies
The Collector's edition is available in the Bethesda store. Link below:

Unfortunately Bethesda only ships to the US and Canada. Fortunately for our Australian readers the Collector's bundle will be available at EB Games.
