Marvel Rivals Hits 10 Million Players

Marvel Rivals announced yesterday events that they hit 10 million players worldwide in just 72 hours. The highly anticipated game dropped on Friday December 6th. The free to play hero shooter featured over 30 beloved marvel characters from Wolverine, Squirrel Girl, Venom, Spider-Man and more.

Marvel Rivals was developed by NetEase Games and Marvel Entertainment. The games was released on PS5 consoles, Microsoft Windows, Steam, Epic store and Xbox series consoles. The super hero PvP team based shooter reached 10 million players in just 72 hours. Looking forward to seeing how well they can continue their success and if it will have a staying power similar to that of Overwatch and Apex legends.

With 33 playable characters at launch, which is more than their 21 characters Overwatch launched with. The roster is divided into 3 roles known as Duelists, Vanguard and Strategist. Similar to the normal DPS, Tank and support in other hero shooters. Some Duelist characters include Black Panther, Iron Man ans Spiderman. Vanguard includes Groot, Hulk and Captain America. Some Strategist characters are Loki, Rocket Raccoon and Jeff the Land Shark.

With the Marvel Universe having such an amazing roster I cannot wait to see who gets released next. Were you part of the 10 million players over the weekend?
