State Of Decay 2 Gets One Last Update

State Of Decay 2 launched back in 2018 and proved to be one of the more successful and supported titles from Microsoft during the Xbox One era attracting 10 million players and getting multiple updates and free expansions. As State Of Decay 3 looms, Undead Labs are sending the game off with one last big update titled Legacy Awaits.

Legacy Awaits Update announcement visual

As reported previously Legacy Awaits is the final update for State of Decay 2 and will include access to all previously gated and seasonal content such as the winter outfits and powerful weapons such as the Titan Bat, as well as vehicles like the Wizard Van. Everything will either be found at a vendor or can spawn within the world itself.

The update will also include a number of final quality of life changes and bug fixes. Some notable changes are; new zombies no longer spawning after a noise event. So if you clear out a wave of zombies before scavenging, you won’t have to worry about a new horde or worse a feral coming in soon after. Community inventories are also being added which will allow you to easily equip and transfer items between you and other community members which keeps you from having to go back to base if you put a really powerful weapon on another survivor.

A number of bug fixes and other quality of life changes will also be added which can all be seen here along with everything else in the update.

Personally I’ve been a long standing fan of State of Decay 2 and it’s a game I had gone back to multiple times over the years as it had an extremely fun gameplay loop. While all attention should go to State of Decay 3, it’s great that Undead Labs is sending off 2 with such a substantial update.

Eventually, I grew to love fighting games in particular and began to compete and even win competitions for some games, primarily the 2013 revival of killer instinct. Outside of gaming I also have aspirations of being a comic book artist with a few ideas of my own im developing in my head. When reviewing any game I try to keep my mind open and avoid nitpicking too much. It takes a lot for something to detract me from truly enjoying it so I may not focus on smaller details the way some others might do. I enjoy almost any genre, just don't ask me to play horror games or puzzle games.
