The developer of the Yakuza and Like a Dragon games, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, will be announcing the next entry in the popular franchise at an upcoming showcase event.
Announced via a livestream that took place today, they confirmed that the RGG Summit, will take place on 20 September at 3am PST / 6am EST / 11am GMT / 12pm CEST / 7pm JST.
The devs are keeping tight-lipped about whether the next game will be a Yakuza title, or a Like a Dragon release. Guess we’ll have to wait and see! Though a trademark filed by SEGA for something called Yakuza Wars was spotted earlier this month, so maybe we’ll see what that is!

And, that wasn’t the only Yakuza news we’ve had this week, announced as part of yesterday’s Nintendo Direct, it was confirmed that the series would be heading to the Nintendo Switch for the first time in the form of Yakuza Kiwami on 19 October.
Who’s excited for more Yakuza / Like a Dragon? I’ve yet to play anything from this series, but whenever I say clips from it, it really makes me want to play.
