EA dropped their first big update for College Football 25. Although it’s a great it did have some bugs and a few issues. EA has listened to what the community had to say and the made some fixes to those issues. Let’s jump into some of the things that got patched and added starting today.

Gameplay

First thing on the note is gameplay. They added 8 new shotguns formations to a total 35 teams; Bunch Quads Open (Known as Diamond Quads), Deuce Twins Over, Slot F Wing, Split Pro Far, Split Pro Near, Tight Y Off Flex, Wing HB Wk Close, Wing Slot Over. These were added to various teams. They fixed another big issue concerning the pursuit angles. You will be able to see a big difference between players with higher and lower pursuit ratings. They also reduced the frequency of broken tackles, which I know for a fact the community has been very vocal about this. They also increased the speed penalty for running out of stamina during a play, QB scrambles behind the line of scrimmage lose stamina at a faster rate. For the breakdown of everything click here.

Dynasty

EA also made some updates and fixes designated for dynasty mode as well. They have introduced a new playoff bracket screen, increased dynamic attendance in rivalry games, updated Texas and Oklahoma rivalry data and so much more. They also resolved the issues with the FCS teams being overpowered, they now have properly rated players. Defense playbooks were updated for USC, Miss State, Miami and several others. Road To Glory

Updates for RTG were needed as well. The add an additional NIP and scenario content. They fixed the glitch, that a lot of people were using, where you could get max skill points for completing a practice. They reworked “Wear and Tear” to show the appropriate ratings impact. “You look good,you feel good and if you feel good, you play good” those are words by “Coach Prime” and with that several teams received added uniform pieces. Oregon, Baylor, Texas State, Vandy and others. A few stadiums like the Holiday Bowl, Texas state and Kansas included received some updates as well. Ea will be listening to the community incase there still needs to be some tuning on some of the updates that were made. This is just the first big update with more to come.
