If you’ve been following the games industry for any legnth of time you’re probably aware that the goings on at Activision/Blizzard behind the scenes have been at times not great, however there does appear to be some good news for one of the teams.

Today a new twitter/X account called WoW Gamemaker’s Guild has popped up. The description in the profile reads as follows “The game developers who bring World of Warcraft to life, standing united!” The account also put out a post which you can see below.

Since Microsoft has purchased publishers Bethesda and Activision they have seen many teams under their umbrella unionize. In such a volatile economic market with studios closing and laying off employees seemingly everyday it certainly can’t hurt to see these unions pop up.

I for one am excited to see this and I hope that more teams at Activision/Blizzard follow. What are you’re thoughts? Comment below
