Let the good times roll! Last week was a bumper week for game releases, with Dungeons of Hinterburg, Flintlock and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess leading the charge. There aren’t the ‘big’ releases this week but there’s still a whole load of games to get stuck into if you’re looking for something new and shiny!

22 July – The New Denpa Men (Nintendo Switch)

THE NEW DENPA MEN is a free-to-play RPG where you can adventure with your friends. Unlike other RPGs, your adventure companions aren’t in the game, they’re all around you! In addition to the main stage that can be played at any time, there are also event stages that are open for a limited time. In addition to adventure, there is plenty of fun to be had, such as decorating your base island, fishing and more!

23 July – Buried Alive (Xbox One, Xbox Series) – already available on PC and PS4

Escape the Grave in Buried Alive! Your mission: escape the suffocating grip of the coffin and find your way to freedom! Will you conquer your fears and escape the clutches of the crypt, or will you succumb to the darkness?

23 July – Conscript (Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series)

During the First World War, a lone French soldier must navigate twisted trenches, scavenge for limited supplies, and solve complex puzzles – all whilst fighting for survival amid mankind's most brutal and horrifying conflict. Conscript is a new take on classic survival horror.

23 July – Empty Shell (Xbox One, Xbox Series) – already available on Nintendo Switch and PC.

Empty Shell will throw you in a dark industrial environment, a secret facility on a Japanese island in the middle of nowhere. Every time you die, you will control a new volunteer sent to the place. Your starting equipment will be randomized and each level will be generated with a new layout. Puzzles to solve, equipment, logs and documents to recover await you in this roguelite survival horror.

23 July – Été PC)

Été (summer) is a relaxing painting game set in Montréal. Color the city to explore, create artwork on canvas, collect stamps in your album, decorate your studio, fulfill commissions from your neighbors, and unleash your inner artist!

23 July – Exophobia (Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series)

You find yourself alone in a human spaceship taken over by hostile alien soldiers. Explore and fight your way to find the last human survivors, while you uncover piece by piece the backstory of the spaceship crew, leading to this high-stakes moment at the red planet. Evolve your alien weapon and shoot, slide, stun your enemies and more, in your journey to escape out alive!

24 July – Ginger – The Tooth Fairy (Xbox One, Xbox Series) – already available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4

Ginger – The Tooth Fairy is a 2D side-scrolling platform game. It is specifically designed for kids and newcomers to gaming. Ginger will explore various worlds filled with obstacles to overcome in order to find her magic teeth.

24 July – Hidden Cats in Rome (PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series) – already available on Nintendo Switch, PC

Hidden Cats in Rome is a short and pleasant hidden objects game for everyone - look around a big, lovely illustration, relax, and spot all the furry friends hiding in every nook and cranny. Starting with beautiful (yet monochromatic) scenery, the city fills itself with warm colors the more cats you find!

25 July – Abathor (Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series)

Abathor is a 2D arcade action platformer for up to 4 players. You are the last hope in defense of Atlantis, you'll face hordes of enemies and countless challenges. Enjoy its pixel art and epic music. A cooperative and competitive game to achieve glory or death.

25 July – Daydream: Forgotten Sorrow (Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series) – already available on PC

Circus of TimTim is a Stealth Horror Survival Game about two siblings trying to sneak inside the most hunted carnival of all time to recover lost items with a metal detector device, however enemies are roaming around, and they can hear your every step! TimTim is not happy.

26 July – Exodus: Creepy Time (Xbox One, Xbox Series)

Exodus: Creepy Time is an exciting casual-style game with elements of a simplified roguelike. An ominous journey through dark and gloomy locations awaits you, where every action you take has serious consequences. Survive in a world where darkness and horror lurk at every turn. 26 July – Fort Defense (Xbox One, Xbox Series) – already available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5

Pedra Crystal Caves is a ‘just one more go’ puzzle platformer challenging you to rewire your brain when navigating each level, searching for the key tiles that open the exit door.

26 July – Street Racer (Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series) – already available on PC

Steel Racer is a 2D pixelated old-school racing game inspired by arcade classics from the 1980s and 1990s decades. Speed through 50 different circuits in any order across 5 different terrain zones. Win races and money to upgrade and customize your car. Choose between 3 difficulty settings and 3 levels of traction assist, making your car easier or harder to control on curves.

I got blisters on these fingers!!!!!! Anyhow, any of these taking your fancy. There are a couple of Vampire Survivor looking type games that I may been drawn to!
