Just when we thought all of the showcases were done for the Summer, Capcom gave us a cheeky 25 minute event to have a gander at what’s coming next from the home of Resident Evil, with a focus on three titles.
Kunitu-Gami: Path of the Goddess
Capcom gave us a more detailed look at the gameplay of the upcoming game which releases on 19 July. They also announced a collaboration with 2006 title, Okami, bringing costumes and music from Okami into the new title. A demo is available from today with a global community challenge to earn the Okami collaborations in the main game.
It will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series. It’s also coming to Game Pass on day one.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remastered
Revealed briefly last week ahead of this showcase, Capcom gave us a closer look at the upcoming remaster and a chat with several members of the development team to go into more details of the work that’s gone into the remaster.
The game releases digitally on PC, PS5, Xbox Series on 19 September with a physical edition releasing in November.
Resident Evil 7 on iOS
Mid-way through the Dead Rising chat, they reminded everyone that Resident Evil 7 will become Capcom’s third Resident Evil game to make it’s way to Apple’s ecosystem. They announced that the first part is free-to-play and will be available 2 July on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
At the end, they took a minute to share a teaser that a new ‘substantial’ Resident Evil is in development.
So that was it, short but sweet. I don’t know about you but I’m really looking forward to the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster for sure! How about you?
