Guayota is a 3d top down puzzle adventure game, where you explore an island to unlock the dark secrets. Guayota is developed by Team Delusion and published by Dear Villagers. Set during the middle ages, you explore an island that is know to some as the paradise on earth , Saint Brendan’s island.

Armed with just your torch you explore a temple to find these secrets. You use the light from your torch and glowing crystals to open up paths to reach murals. You also have a notebook in which you use to sketch the murals in an use as a reference to help guide you. Your torch is very vital to your survival in this game, if your fire goes out you will dive into madness.

Although not a huge area to explore, the puzzles were fun to solve. The earlier puzzles weren’t as challenging but as I got deeper into the temple that changed. Some puzzles you had to make sure the crystals were placed just right in order to open the path. I got stumped once or twice but overall I enjoyed this demo. I loved how the temples look, the addition to other obstacles that added to your puzzle solving challenges. I will be looking forward to more of this game when it gets its full release on Steam and Switch, no release date of yet.
