As you may well have seen advertised, Sony has just wrapped up it’s latest look at what is coming to PlayStation over the coming months with its latest ‘State of Play’ event.
To make sure you don’t miss anything, we’ve pulled together all the announcements and reveals into one helpful place, along with any trailers for you to gander at!
So without further ado…
Concord
Check out the first gameplay trailer and a new cinematic reveal trailer from the previously teased multiplayer game ‘Concord’ by Firewalk Studios, an upcoming 5v5 sci-fi shooter. It’s a ‘Heroes’ shooter, like Overwatch, where each ‘Freegunner’ has their own skills and abilities that help turn the tide of battle:
Concord is releasing on PlayStation 5 and PC on 23 August. This will be preceded by an open beta which starts in July, you can receive early access to the beta by pre-ordering the game.
God of War Ragnarok
Probably not a surprise, but God of War Ragnarok is the latest PlayStation title to get the PC treatment. The game promises unlocked framerates, super ultrawide monitor support, and it includes the recently released Valhalla DLC. It will arrive on PC on 19 September this year!
Dynasty Warriors Origins
Dynasty Warriors returns in 2025. Check out the reveal trailer below:
Infinity Nikki
Check out the latest gameplay trailer for Infinity Nikki, a game I have no idea as to what it is, but it looks like a Pokemon / Palworld-esque type game with cute creatures, but then there’s that sinister note right at the end, intriguing no?
Ballad of Antara
Check out the announcement trailer for Ballad of Antara a really intriguing looking fantasy game that looks to have chunky combat and great visuals. It’s due to release in 2025.
Skydance’s Behemoth
Check out the gameplay reveal trailer for Behemoth by Skydance, creator of The Walking Dead’s Saints and Sinners for PSVR2. It looks crunchy, brutal, and fun (also headache inducing for me). Excited to give this a go when it comes this Autumn.
Alien: Rogue Incursion
An Alien game for PSVR2! SOLD!!!!! Coming this winter season.
Marvel Rivals
The previously announced Marvel ‘Heroes’ shooter, Marvel Rivals is coming to PS5 (it’s also been announced for Xbox too). The closed beta starts in July. It was announced that a PlayStation 5 exclusive skin ‘Scarlet Spider’ costume will be available on its launch.
Where Winds Meet
Our cup runneth over with Samurai Soulslikes recently eh (or just Samurai based combat games). Previously announced last year, it’s been announced that the game will be coming to PS5. There is currently no release date or window to go off, so I guess we’ll just have to wait.
Until Dawn
Check out the latest gameplay trailer for the upcoming remaster for Until Dawn, a remaster of the PS4 original. The game is slated to release on PS5 and PC this winter.
Path of Exile 2
Path of Exile 2 is officially coming to console (PS5 and Xbox Series), introducing couch co-op, cross-play, and cross-progression! Early access will start late 2024.
Silent Hill 2
Silent Hill 2 is coming 8 October to PS5, perfect for spooky season. Check out the new trailer of all the insanity below:
Monster Hunter: Wilds
Check out the new gameplay trailer for the previously teased Monster Hunter: Wilds. Looks like a lot of fun and is coming to PS5, PC, and Xbox Series consoles in 2025.
Astro Bot
Astrobot is back baby! Closing off the State of Play was a brand new reveal of the upcoming game from Team Asobi, Astro Bot, and it looks wonderfully mad! It’ll be released on PlayStation 5 (boo no PSVR2 version / mode?!) on 6 September this year!!!!
So what did you think to this State of Play? Anything got you excited, or was there something you were hoping to see that didn’t make an appearance (apart from Bloodborne Remastered)?
Don’t forget that the ‘Days of Play’ promotion has also returned too!
