Today, Bungie has announced a new content update for Destiny 2 ahead of its next big expansion, but won’t tell us what it is yet…
Titled “Into the Light”, the content update will be available for free during April and May ahead of the launch of the previously delayed next big expansion “The Final Shape”, which is due to release in June.
Bungie are playing their cards close to their chest about what this content will be and are encouraging you to check it out on their livestreams on their Twitch channel from as early as next Tuesday (19 March) where they will be revealing more about what “Into the Light” is all about.
The first livestream will take place at 10 AM PT on March 19. The next two will air on March 26 and April 2, both starting at 10AM PT. By watching the streams for up to two hours, you can earn a banner and emblem in a Twitch drop. If you watch for at least 30 minutes across any of the three livestreams, you will earn the "Those Held Dear" emblem. And if you watch for at least two hours total, you will also earn an additional emblem called "Echo Diamond."
I really enjoyed the first Destiny (apart from the initial paltry DLC), but really struggled to get into Destiny 2, and now it feels that ship has sailed for me to get back on board with it. Anyone else feel like that?
