Indie publisher Top Hat Studios just had their Fall 2026 Showcase, unveiling new additions to its growing publishing lineup and sharing the latest on its highly anticipated upcoming games. Packed with game premieres, release window announcements, playable demo drops, and more, there’s plenty to get indie fans excited.

Spooky Tales (PC)
Four unique nightmares share the spotlight in Spooky Tales, as Top Hat Studios officially announces its publishing partnership with developer Liminal Road for the retro-inspired horror anthology. Drawing inspiration from anthology horror such as Tales from The Crypt, Goosebumps, Are You Afraid of The Dark?, and more, Spooky Tales blends narrative exploration with interactive minigames; the collection spans 1920s pulp dread, Japanese body horror, found footage, and classic slashers. A charismatic undead host guides players through stories of sinister coastal waters, a new student with dark secrets, a desperate TV crew, and a pizza party turned bloody.

My Ransomware Can’t Be This Cute?! (PC)
Sentient malware hijacks the spotlight in the debut reveal of My Ransomware Can’t Be This Cute?!, a card-flipping rogue-like from developer The Seppuku Commission, which Top Hat Studios officially announced as its newest partner. With their computer held hostage by a cute-but-devious computer virus, players must deduce where evil cards are hiding or trust their instincts and go for the million-dollar card. This tense card-flipping deck-building roguelike challenges players to balance logical deduction with a willingness to push their luck.
My Ransomware Can’t Be This Cute?! is coming soon to PC via Steam.
Prima Materia (PC)
Debuting for the first time in partnership with acclaimed visual novel Synergia developer Radi Art, PRIMA MATERIA is a dark, surreal visual novel set in a sterilized wasteland ruled by Angels, where consciousness is harvested, brewed, and sold. Mana, a Mind Digger who survives by eating minds, takes one last job: fixing a demi-angel worth keeping whole. It is also the developer’s first game in 6 years.
Prima Materia is coming in 2027 to PC.
RGB: Execution
Revealed at Top Hat Studios Presents: Fall Showcase 2026, RGB: Execution is the latest addition to Top Hat Studios’ publishing lineup. The fast-paced 2D pixel action game from developer Purechito is set in a post-apocalyptic future where Generative AI has taken over a dead world. Each boss is its own puzzle to solve, challenging players to adapt their approach through a blend of action, bullet hell, and problem-solving.

Ryn: And the Thread of Life (PC)
Top Hat Studios announced its teaming up with developer Innombrable on Ryn: And the Thread of Life, a 3D action-adventure featuring hack-and-slash combat and a blend of “anime-meets-cartoon” low-poly and pixel art visuals. Players become Ryn, a rag doll born from the last light, and explore a fading realm torn apart by the dark witch Stella. Armed with enchanted scissors, Ryn must defeat five wicked dolls, claim their powers, and restore the broken Thread of Life.

BECROWNED (PC, PS5, XBOX Series, Nintendo Switch 2)
BECROWNED invites players into its nightmare with a new demo, out now following the showcase, for the non-linear survival horror game, where industrial ruins collide with a tragic fantasy kingdom. Inspired by the surrealist dark satire of VHS-era horror and the lurid atmosphere of classic grindhouse cinema, the game follows Richard Torrance through a complex web of relationships and realities.
BECROWNED will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in Q1 of 2027.
DELIVERY MUST COMPLETE (PC)
High-speed dogfights and daring deliveries await in the newly announced demo arriving in January 2027 for DELIVERY MUST COMPLETE, a roguelike, action-packed game with style. Players can fly, fight, and upgrade a roster of kickass planes through cel-shaded, arcade-paced aerial combat across procedurally generated maps. From aircrafts and blimps to dragons and mechs, every battle is massive, and every fight is a spectacle.

METAMORPHOSIS (PC)
A forsaken nun’s long road to absolution unfolds in the new trailer for the viral sensation METAMORPHOSIS, a haunting adventure set in a dead world. Branded a sinner, Aria must traverse towering megastructures, fight demons, and journey toward the last paradise. Players guide her through sprawling, interconnected ruins, solve challenging puzzles, and manage dwindling resources while wielding firearms and powerful miracles in deliberate, high-risk combat.

Tales of Tuscany (PC, PS5, XBOX Series, Nintendo Switch)
Sheep-fueled chaos arrives February 2nd, 2027, in Tales of Tuscany, a choose-your-own-adventure RPG filled with fast-paced bullet-hell battles. Players follow Lambypoo, a small sheep whose home has been obliterated by The Evil Wizard Thunder Goober for his own amusement. On a quest to save their cousins and rebuild their village, Lambypoo journeys through the shaken-up land of Tuscany, recruiting enemies to fight by their side or defeating them for EXP.
Tales of Tuscany is coming to PC, Switch, PS5, and the Xbox family on February 2nd.
The Backworld (PC)
The Backworld has revealed a Q2 2027 launch window, inviting players to slip between the cracks of reality into a surreal RPG where danger awaits at every turn. Survival demands strategy, as players must decide when to fight and when to flee. As they explore interconnected worlds, they collect strange items, unlock new abilities, and recruit unique companions, forging their own path through a cosmic horror story where every choice matters.

Ova Magica (PC, PS5, XBOX Series, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2)
Just revealed in the showcase, Ova Magica’s long-awaited console ports are due for a surprise release next week on November 10th, coming to Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation, and the Xbox Family. In Ova Magica, you’ll start a new life on an overgrown farm in the rural and peaceful Clover Town. Raise adorable blob companions that help you farm, explore, and make new friends. Ova Magica blends farm-life simulation with creature-collecting JRPG gameplay.
Ova Magica’s 1.0 was released via Steam this past summer.
Silly Polly Beast (PC, PS4, PS5, XBOX One, XBOX Series, Nintendo Switch 2)
Silly Polly Beast is bringing its otherworldly horrors to Nintendo Switch 2 later this month. A story-driven shooter filled with aggressive gunfights and terrifying monsters, the game follows a girl who, by the will of fate, must face the beast and understand its nature in order to become free. Players explore eerie realms, confront haunting figures from Polly’s past, and master forbidden spells in a fight for freedom.
Silly Polly Beast is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and is already available on PC (via Steam and GOG), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
