Nintendo has announced that a new Indie World showcase is set to air tomorrow, October 28, 2026.
The showcase will air at 7am PT/10am ET/2pm GMT, and will feature new games from independent developers slated for release on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The showcase will be roughly 15 minutes long.
No titles have been teased as of yet. Given that there’s always a slew of exciting new indie games coming to Nintendo Switch platforms so there are plenty of possibilities. There are also plenty of highly rated recent indie games that have yet to arrive on Switch 2 such as the Disco Elysium inspired CRPG Esoteric Ebb, the massively popular Dressmaker, and last year’s Game of the Year winner Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Yes we know, its ‘indie’ status is heavily debated.
Nintendo’s Indie World highlights individual indie developers from around the world. Over time it has become somewhat synonymous with shadow drops as well. It might be worth keeping an eye on the showcase for something new to play, especially if you’ve found lack of curation for this month’s Steam Next Fest to be frustrating. Don’t worry we have too.
Let us know if there’s any titles you’re hoping to see at Indie world in the comments down below. Want to chat in real time? Join us over on the Gamer Social Club Discord.
Either way, make sure to check in with Gamer Social Club after the showcase. Just like with the March 2026 showcase we’ll provide a breakdown of everything featured.
