The ID@XBOX Showcase for October 2026 has just wrapped up and we’ve got all the announcements in our showcase summary! The ID@Xbox showcases focus on independent studios from around the world.

Magenta Down (PC, Xbox Series)
Take a look at the Reveal Trailer for Magenta Down, a sci-fi atmospheric adventure game developed by 2 Ton Studios. Players will traverse a harsh, remote exoplanet to endure injury and radiation exposure with scarce supplies. Search for a way to save yourself and your crew.
It is releasing in 2027.
Croak (PC, Xbox Series)
Tongue-grapple and pinball-bounce the frog prince across levels to reach the Witch’s Banquet in Croak. Each whimsical world has its own wacky boss, hidden collectibles, and a unique traversal ability. Hungry for a little competition? Take on your friends and the fastest frogs in the world on the online speedrunning leaderboard.
It is releasing in March 2027. It will release into Xbox Game Pass on day one.
Mr. Records (PC, PS5, Switch 2, Xbox Series)
?Meet George, an old dreamer with an extraordinary gift that lets him transcend through music. After a lifetime of standing still, he breaks free from routine and opens the store he always wished for. ?
It is releasing in Spring 2027.
Chronoscript (PC, PS5, Xbox Series)
See bosses and gameplay from Chronoscript: The Endless End in this new trailer for the upcoming exploration-based action-adventure game comprised of two worlds: a 3D-rendered grand residence littered with thousands of manuscript pages, and the 2D pen-and-ink illustrated worlds within them.
Face off against the Ruined, twisted remnants of those who lost their lives in the waking world. Grow stronger through exploration and battle, and immerse yourself in the winding narrative of the Immortal Vampire and her Editor. A unique approach to spatial perspective awaits you.
It is releasing in the early Summer 2027.
Love is a Roguelike (PC, Xbox Series)
Love Is A Roguelite (or LIAR for short), an upcoming game that is a unique hybrid where turn-based tactics meet deck-building and dating sim set, within a procedurally generated Love Story. The trailer introduces you to its characters, story, and gives a peek at gameplay.
Powered by the proprietary LoveSync system where your choices matter, you’ll manage relationships alongside tactical card combat, utilizing multiple character classes and exploring 16 distinct romantic pairings across diverse gender and species variations.
It’s releasing Autumn 2027.
Drill Keeper (PC)
In Drill Keeper, as a dutiful symbol of the future, you’ll build fortresses around your mining operations to protect them from the dangers lurking in the depths of distant planets, designing labyrinthine pathways and traps to stall and bewilder the enemy. Build powerful synergies in your deck as it grows over a run, optimize your dig strategy to acquire resources for immediate and future use, and experiment with a multitude of heroes and factions.
It releases in Summer 2027. It will launch day one on PC Game Pass.
Mr. Magpie’s Harmless Card Game (PC, Xbox Series)
Clock in for a sinister roguelike deckbuilder where you’ll build your deck, push your luck, and combine powerful “synergies” to tip the odds in your favour. Every choice is an opportunity to demonstrate your value. With Matt Mercer providing the voice of your deeply unsettling host, you can look forward to a workplace experience where nothing is quite as it seems.
It releases early 2027 and will release day one into Xbox Game Pass.
Waveling Island (PC, Xbox Series)
Players will explore a hand-drawn pixel-art island packed full of mysterious creatures called Wavelings. Craft, battle, make friends, explore, and uncover the island’s secrets.
It releases in 2027.
A Game About Digging a Hole Together (PC, PS5, Switch 2, Xbox Series)
Dig together, collect resources, sell them, upgrade your equipment, and search for a promised treasure buried deep beneath the sand.
It will release day one on Xbox Game Pass.
Scramble Knights Online (PC, Xbox Series)
Adventure together with your friends in this MMO-lite action RPG! Explore the shared online kingdom of Terracott as a knight-in-training. Work together to take on quests, conquer dungeons, slay monsters, discover rare loot, and return home to forge powerful new gear before setting out on your next quest.
It releases 26 October 2026. It will release day one into Xbox Game Pass.
Paper Shredder (PC, Xbox Series)
Paper Shredder is an incremental game where a sheet-after-sheet grind scales into mass document destruction. Shred, sweep, upgrade, and cut down tower-high piles of confidential records to uncover what’s buried beneath.
It is aiming to release Winter 2026.
Vanran (PC, Xbox Series)
Vanran is a dark fantasy action RPG where a human slave in the Demon Realm wields a sealed blade and rises in rebellion. Defeat your enemies, claim their powers, grow stronger, and escape. Seek salvation—or choose vengeance.
It is releasing in 2027.
Rustown (PC, Xbox Series)
Rustown is set in a slum inhabited by infected outcasts suffering from cognitive decline. Receiving a letter from her missing father after three years of silence, can she find him in this lawless zone? ‘Rustown’: A tender dystopia dedicated to those weary of hatred.
In this story-driven stealth adventure, players explore Rustown, avoid danger without fighting, and uncover clues while getting to know its residents. Jian’s search reveals conflict and prejudice, but also people who care for one another.
It releases 30 June 2027.
Red Kiss (PC, Xbox Series)
Vampire spy house leader Daddy introduces you to the recently resurrected Fritz and the team you’ll lead in this latest trailer for Red Kiss, an upcoming tactical narrative RPG from developer Wispfire. In Red Kiss, dispatch a team of vampire spies through the tense and fractured streets of Cold War Berlin. Fulfill your darkest impulses as you tap into their powers, gain their trust, and manipulate your way through this (blood)thirsty tactical narrative RPG.
It releases in 2027. It will launch day one into Xbox Game Pass.
Graytail (PC, Xbox Series)
Graytail is a mystery action-adventure in a 2.5D pixel-art world. A famous pilot has vanished somewhere in the Pacific. A detective with a headache that never stops takes the case, with the pilot’s daughter at his side. Grab your cane, get on your motorbike, and uncover the island’s secrets. The deeper you dig, the less you can trust.
It releases November 2027.
Arctic Eggs (PC, Xbox Series)
Can you fry eggs on top of Mount Everest? In Arctic Eggs, make an omelette out of beer bottles, bullets and cigarettes in this dystopian, physics-and-patience-driven frying sim set in a surreal Antarctic city. Oh, and there are eggs too.
It releases today on Xbox Series.
Mouthwashing (PC, Xbox Series)
In Mouthwashing, take responsibility for the dying crew of a shipwrecked space freighter in this psychological horror drama from developer Wrong Organ.
It releases 29 October 2026. It releases day one on Xbox Game Pass.
Zero Parades: Director’s Cut (PC, PS5, Switch 2, Xbox Series)
Check out the Xbox Trailer for Zero Parades: Director’s Cut, an espionage RPG developed by ZA/UM. Players will endure the trials and tribulations of a single operative on one final mission. The latest update is packed with more material, revisions, improvements, and more.
It releases on console on 3 November 2026.
The Wolf Among Us: Remastered (PC, PS5, Switch 2, Xbox Series)
The new story trailer gives a first look at Bigby’s redesigned werewolf form. The definitive edition of Telltale’s acclaimed detective thriller remasters Bigby’s first investigation with enhanced visuals, upgraded animation and audio, an all-new Noir Mode, behind-the-scenes bonus content, and playable deleted scenes restored from the original 2013 production.
It releases on 29 October 2026 on everything except Switch 2 which was recently delayed indefinitely.
Shrek 2: Remastered (PC, PS5, Xbox Series)
A modern version of the hit co-op adventure game developed by Aspyr. Players will relive iconic moments from iconic locations in the animated film, from the fairytale kingdom of Far Far Away to Shrek’s swamp. Enjoy improved graphics, new features, and more.
It releases 10 November 2026.
