A brand new title from the developers of The King is Watching has been announced. Titled The Crab is Walking, you will be guiding a giant monster through the apocalypse.
Opening the tinyBuild Connect Publisher Showcase 2026, The Crab is Watching is a new title from Hypnohead and sees you building a city atop a giant monster. You will need to help it survive and guide the monster through a post-apocalyptic world. You will have limited space to build your city on the back of a giant crab. The game will have you weigh up the shape of the buildings as well their function to ensure you are getting the best out of your builds.

The Crab is Walking is described as a roguelite city builder. You will get “full strategic depth squeezed into short roguelite sessions”. You will build, fight, fail and do it all again, bringing what you’ve learned with you.
Some of The Crab is Walking features:
- Deep strategy combined with short runs. It is never an easy ride.
- All buildings have their own unique forms. Space limitations require tough decisions.
- Pick your Ride. Pick your Rider. Different shells, different playstyles.
- Merge and upgrade your buildings. Then find the combos that break the game.
- 100+ unit types. Powered by gasoline and hate.
- The safe road is safe. The hard road pays. Take the easier route, or push against it for better rewards.
It is scheduled to release on PC at some point in 2027. Playtests will also take place next year too.
