It’s hard to believe we are almost in October.
Already, October is full to the brim with goodies. With releases like Hellraiser, Gears of War: E-Day, Galactic Racer, and Phantom Blade 0 set to grace our gaming platforms of choice. Plus, Halloween is here, and the V60 Championships are the night before. Honestly, I don’t know how I am going to fit it all in. It’s a great problem to have.
But what makes October extra special is Australia’s ultimate gaming festival, PAX Aus makes its yearly stop at the Melbourne Convention Centre on the weekend of 9th to the 11th of October.
With less than a month to go, PAX has unleashed the schedule upon us. Now it’s time to start planning the goodies you are going to buy, and the fun to be had, including panels, live shows, special guests, and games. Lots of Games.
Check out the full schedule here.
If you download the PAX Aus app, you can plan your days and set reminders so you don’t miss anything when you’re caught up in the moment.

So, let’s take a little look at what we can expect
Among the highlights is Storytime with Holly Longdale, Executive Producer World of Warcraft, opening PAX at 12 noon on Friday 9th October. Holly will take fans behind the scenes of World of Warcraft, sharing stories from her career, the evolution of WoW Classic, and the ongoing development of the Midnight expansion and the wider Worldsoul Saga.
PAX Aus has a huge line-up of panels and events planned throughout the weekend, including:
- A Realm Reburned: The Stories Behind the Stories of FINAL FANTASY XIV on Saturday, where FINAL FANTASY XIV veterans Koji Fox and Toshio ‘Foxclon’ Murouchi will tackle increasingly fiery hot sauces while answering questions and sharing behind-the-scenes stories from one of the world’s biggest MMOs.
