Chronoscript: The Endless End Delayed To Summer 2027

Unfortunately delays are a part of the gaming landscape. Today DeskWorks Inc has announced that they have made the decision to delay their adventure game Chronoscript: The Endless End into next year.

Originally expected sometime in fall 2026, the decision was made by the studio in order to give the game some extra polish and refine things. It should be noted that the game recently had a demo released and the studio is taking all feedback into account.

“We know this means asking players to wait a little longer, and we’re truly sorry for the additional wait,” said Tom Fujii, Director at DeskWorks Inc. “The main game is now playable from beginning to end, and our focus is on refining the experience and making sure the details are right. The feedback we’ve received from everyone who played the demo has been incredibly valuable.”

The potential is there for Chronoscript: The Endless End to be a good game with the right optimization

In the press release announcing the delay the studio says the following is being worked on for improvements:

  • Character actions: Faster attack recovery, improved input buffering, increased movement during attacks, faster healing, and refined sliding when turning.
  • Design and readability: Improved text and character visibility, along with menu design adjustments.
  • Further refinements: Additional gameplay and usability improvements are being implemented across the experience.

We were able to get hands on with the demo last month ahead of the public and thought DeskWorks was on to something great if they optimized the game better. It is always great to see when these studios take these criticisms in stride to make a better game.

While no firm release date has been given, Chronoscript: The Endless End is now expected sometime in the summer of 2027. Chronoscript: The Endless End will release on PC and PlayStation 5.
