Don’t miss anything from Day 1 of the Xbox @ Gamescom Broadcast. Gameplay reveals, trailers and more (oh my!)
Xbox has two days of ‘Broadcasts’ at Gamescom, as it did last year. They’ve previously told us what to expect from their broadcasts, with time being given to upcoming and recently released titles. This includes Minecraft Dungeons II, Gears of War: E-Day, Rebellion’s Alien Deathstorm and much more!
Will we be getting any sneak announcements or “world premieres”? You’ll have to watch, or read on, to find out!

25th Anniversary Xbox Series X and Controller
It was confirmed that the console and controller will be available to pre-order on 27 August 2026. It was also revealed that the console will come with a digital copy of Halo: Campaign Evolved.
Some fans will get early access from today (26 August 2026), check your emails.
Dumpster Gang (PC)
Play as mischievous raccoons and cause as much mayhem as possible in this new chaotic co-op sandbox game.
It will release in December 2026. It will be available on PC Game Pass day one.

Minecraft Dungeons II (PC, PS5, Switch 2, Xbox Series)
A deep-dive into Minecraft Dungeons II, with an interview with some of the developers of the game.
It releases 29 September 2026 and will be available day on Xbox Game Pass.
Chosen by Odin (PC, Xbox Series)

Xbox’s Disc to Digital
Xbox confirmed their long rumoured disc to digital programme. This allows you to claim a digital copy of a game that you own physically. This means you can then use the game without having to insert the disc in the future. Any games compatible also receive any associated benefits, such as Xbox Play Anywhere features.
The feature launches for Xbox Insiders on 31 August 2026.
Where Winds Meet (Android, iOS, PC, Xbox Series)
Step into an open-world action-adventure RPG set in ancient China. Uncover the secrets of your own identity as you rise from a humble village wanderer to the sword master of the imperial capital. Learn martial arts and build your reputation as a hero or a bringer of chaos in this free wuxia world.
It releases in September for Xbox Series.
Gears of War: E-Day (PC, Xbox Series)
A deep-dive interview with developers from The Coalition (see broadcast video at the the top of the page). There was an extended exploration of how The Coalition will be exploring getting the best out of PC.
It releases 6 October 2026.
Alien Deathstorm (PC, PS5, Xbox Series)
You’ll play as an engineer that’s been called to an off-world colony. You soon discover that all the people have gone missing and you must fight for survival. It combines investigation to find out what’s going on, with a horror-shooter vibe.
The game is designed to react to how the player interacts with the game, a jump scare that happens for one player may not happen for another.
It will release in Spring 2027. It will be available day one on Xbox Game Pass.
Persona 4 Revival (PC, PS5, Xbox Series)
Persona 4 Revival is a full remake of ATLUS’ acclaimed RPG, rebuilding the original adventure with enhanced visuals, improved gameplay, modernized presentation, and quality-of-life improvements. Balancing everyday school life, friendships, and Social Links with turn-based battles and supernatural dungeon exploration, the remake brings the mystery of Inaba back for a new generation.
It releases 18 February 2027.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis (PC, PS5, Xbox Series)
An extended look at the gameplay for the game with developers Crystal Dynamics.
It releases on 12 February 2027.
Exterminauts (PC, PS5, Xbox Series)
From Level Infinite, bEhaviour, and Shooter & Creative Team comes Exterminauts, a game where you’ll travel space to do the dirty work that needs to be done on the edge of space.
Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons (PC, PS5, Xbox Series)
Play as Kaatri in Warlock, a single-player, third-person action-adventure set in a D&D-inspired open world. Wield forbidden magic to bend the rules around you. Across exploration and combat, every challenge is a test of creativity, preparation, and cunning.

Mega Man: Dual Override (PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Switch 2, Xbox One, Xbox Series)

Terrible Lizards (PC, Xbox Series)

Forza Horizon 6 (PC, Xbox Series)
Drift Attack is a new feature coming Forza Horizon 6 on 7 September 2026.
Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy (PC, PS5, Xbox Series)
