Tropico 7 has been my most anticipated game since it was announced earlier this year. Sadly El Presidente has been making me wait with baited breath about when it might release, and today we finally have that answer.
Announced with a new gameplay trailer, Kalypso Media announced that Tropico 7 will release on January 28th. This is unfortunately a bit of a delay as the game was scheduled to come in 2026. El Presidente holds elections when he wants!
The day one Xbox Game Pass title is the next in line of one of the most established city….err island building franchises in all of gaming. Fans like myself have been waiting for quite some time. Tropico 6 released all the way back in 2019 making it 7 years between mainline releases. Of course we have seen a fair bit of El Presidente since then as Kalypso released a next-gen version in 2022 and has released multiple DLC’s.

Everything we’ve seen so far from Tropico 7 looks like it will expand on the previous game and build on a solid foundation. Penultimo will be doing his best to keep El Presidente’s enemies in line and the citizens…..obedient.
