XBOX Game Pass – once, to many, ‘the best deal in gaming’ – consistently adds more games to the service than it removes. August is a big month for subscribers as titles including Beast of Reincarnation, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, which recently revealed it’s achievement and trophy list, and more enter the service.
Unfortunately, some games do have to depart too. XBOX have now confirmed the Game Pass removals for the end of the month and there’s a few little treasures in there including one from Another Crab.
The most high-profile removal is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition which includes the base game and The Witcher 3’s award winning DLC packs. If you’re currently playing the game via Game Pass, I wouldn’t worry too much as it seems to be discounted on the XBOX Store more often than it isn’t.
Also leaving XBOX Game Pass is 2024’s Another Crab’s Treasure, the action RPG with a cute underwater aesthetic. Not the longest title in the genre, there is probably time to get started now and get through the game before it departs.
The final notable departure is I Am Your Beast, an FPS with plenty of replayability that will challenge you to secure S-Ranks on all levels if you want to secure the coveted 1,000 Gamerscore. The full list of removal for August 31, 2026 is as follows:
