Developer Liquid Swords have confirmed that there is finally a release month for their open world action title, Samson. The game that arrived to a mixed reception on Steam back in April will now be coming to XBOX Series X|S and PlayStation 5 next month, though an actual release date is TBC.
This was announced by Christofer Sundberg, Founder and CCO of the studio via a post on X:
Ooowee! @SamsonMcCray lands on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in September. Console players, welcome to Tyndalston. Let's make it a blast. #Samsonhttps://t.co/I9orWX9CG7

Samson is based in the fictional city of Tyndalston, a city that shaped the protagonist of the game, Samson. The very American city of Tyndalston, ‘The City that Never Forgives’ features multiple districts that contains factions of enemies who are hunting him for what he did in the past.
There is a focus on both on foot and driving in the game with the ability to ram, smash and outthink whoever chases you. This is a smaller scale crime, action open world than many of its peers with a deep focus on Samson’s story and the need for him to pay his debt and unlock his freedom. Every day in the game that the debt isn’t paid, the interest grows and the proceeding day becomes tougher.
