Remedy Entertainment, the Finnish game studio behind the Alan Wake series, Quantum Break, and the rest of the Remedyverse, has announced that their next title, CONTROL Resonant, has gone gold. The sequel to 2019’s CONTROL, Resonant is set to release digitally on September 24th across PC, PlayStation 5, and XBOX Series X/S.
CONTROL Resonant has gone gold!Get ready to unleash Dylan Faden's paranatural abilities on September 24th.The physical release date for the game has moved October 15th. We need more time to deliver the physical version to you, but rest assured – nothing stays contained forever.#CONTROLResonant

The dev team made the announcement via social media, along with an update on the physical release of the game. For those not familiar with the term, “going gold” means the final build of the game is ready and has been approved by platform holders like Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo for sale on their digital platforms.
It also heralds the start of physical copies of a game being printed and is likely the reason CONTROL Resonant’s physical release has been delayed. Instead of arriving at the same time as the digital version, physical copies will be available three weeks later on October 15th.

We also had the recent news that Dylan Faden, the protagonist of CONTROL Resonant, would be making his way to Fortnite. Fans who pre-purchase the game through the Epic Games Store will receive the outfit on August 26th. Epic clarified that the cosmetic will be available in the public item store for purchase at a later date.
CONTROL Resonant releases digitally on September 24th and physically on October 15th across PC, PlayStation 5, and XBOX Series X/S.
