Road trip franchise, Road 96 and its side-story, Mile-0 is to receive a new title. Announced at today’s THQ Nordic Showcase via a mysterious reveal trailer, the next project from DigixArt Studio is another entry in the narrative-led series.
The tagline for the trailer “This might feel familiar to some of you. After all, some roads never really end.” alongside the ‘96’ you can see on the radio confirms that the game will be from the Road 96 universe.
Based in 1996, Road 96 is a narrative choice-based road trip journey across fictional Petria, in a similar vein to the beloved Telltale Games titles. With multiple paths and roads to take, there are multiple endings for players to discover.
No release window, consoles or other information was offered via the reveal trailer but it’s likely we will see more at the next THQ Nordic Showcase. In the meantime, the developers have invited have fans to join their Discord to share thoughts and more. If the initial fan comments on YouTube are to go by, there are many already excited for this one.
