Update: Things seem to be smooth sailing once again as the PlayStation Network is up and running.

Original Story: Today is supposed to be a pretty big day for PlayStation with the Marvel Tokon Open Beta starting up. Unfortunately for many it is impossible to access anything on PlayStation as the PlayStation Network is down for many users worldwide.

At this point we aren’t sure just how widespread it is but thousands of users are flooding social media to say they cannot log in. The PSN status page currently shows no issues, but these pages tend to take awhile to get updated once PlayStation engineers realize something is wrong.

This outage comes while PlayStation is dealing with the controversy of cancelling its disc production in 2028 and this likely won’t help. Gaming is effectively shutoff right now for anyone who plays using digital games.

If you are currently online we recommend keeping your PlayStation logged in as often times Network outages only affect players trying to logging in.
