It’s time to don that neoprene suit and put on our gloves, because it’s time for more PowerWash Simulator 2 DLC. If you have kept up with the announcements around the PowerWash Simulator 2 timeline, then you’ll know that this DLC was not in the initial announcements. It’s taking place a long time ago…in a galaxy far, far away.
Yes, we’re heading into the universe of Star Wars for this DLC! If you’re interested in checking out our review of the base version of FuturLab‘s Powerwash Simulator 2 and the Adventure Time DLC, be sure to give those a view! We won’t be spending too much time in this review discussing the nuances of the base mechanics of the game, as (and I am assuming here) that you have already played the base version of the game! Let’s get squeaky clean in our far away space opera galaxy!
DLC Features
One of the biggest features of the PowerWash Simulator 2 Star Wars DLC is that we have shed our fleshy shell for something more…metallic. Yes – we’ll be cleaning as a droid in the DLC.

You may also notice that your equipment has taken on a much more “space-themed” aesthetic. It’s not just the visuals that have been upgraded for the DLC – it’s the very sounds of the cleaning tools themselves. For example, our floor cleaner (shown above) makes the same hum as an Imperial Probe Droid. Activating your regular power washing gun makes the sound of a blaster from the Star Wars universe. Heck, even jumping sounds as though there are actual metallic servos running and compensating as you jump and land back down.

DLC Story Jobs
The PowerWash Simulator 2 Star Wars DLC pretty much follows along with the early events of the original Star Wars films and brings us to several noted locations from the cinematic universe.
Lars Homestead
From humble beginnings, we start with cleaning the Lars Homestead, all while chatting with Luke Skywalker about his desires to leave home and join the academy with Biggs. What really got me was the sheer amount of details that were in this location (despite not spending much time there in the film).

Mos Eisley Cantina
For some strange reason, Han Solo is the one that contacts us about this job. Maybe he’s sick of hanging out in a dirty hive of scum and villainy and only wants to hang out in a clean hive of scum and villainy? Regardless, the cantina itself is chock full of references to the series, including:
- Watto’s Chance Cubes;
- Sabacc cards;
- A familiar-looking blaster; and
- A maybe-certain Mandalorian’s jetpack
You’ll also get a lot of complaints from Wuher, the barkeep who doesn’t like droids. But what else is new?

AT-AT on Hoth
You just knew that there were going to include this gargantuan piece of weaponry in the DLC The size is…staggering, to say the least (and easily one of the largest structures I think I have cleaned in the PowerWash Simulator universe).
Scattered around the location, you’ll see a downed Snowspeeder (maybe with Dak still inside?) and various Snowspeeders still in the air. If I’m being honest, this job was a massive pain in the butt (literally and metaphorically). They really did nail how many nooks and crannies would be on an AT-AT.

Super Star Destroyer Bridge
We went from cleaning a moisture farm on Tatooine to the very bridge of a Super Star Destroyer. Really moving up on this galaxy!
Outside of the occasional Imperial klaxons (you know what sound I mean), and the little Mouse Droid that runs around the bridge, this job is a pretty quiet one.

X-Wing Fighter
Wedge Antilles (one of my favorite characters from the original trilogy and leader of Rogue Squadron – yes, I’m still salty the show got cancelled) contacts us to give his fighter a good clean-off. Having two Death Stars in your kill count can be dirty work, right?
The cool little thing about this job – it’s one of those jobs where you reach a point and then the cleaning parameters change a little. In this instance, at 80% completion, the X-Wing’s S-Foils open up and the ship starts to levitate to allow access to these little areas.

Millennium Falcon
Lando himself has reached out to us for this final job. The second Death Star is no more and General Calrissian needs to return the Falcon to Han without a scratch (minus that dish that snapped off when escaping the core).
Again, another great job by the game in presenting the massive scale of such a freighter as the Millennium Falcon.

The Overall
PowerWash Simulator 2 Star Wars DLC – is it worth it? I’ll level with you – it is short. I managed to run through all six jobs in about six-ish hours. Some jobs, obviously, will take a little longer than others. I would say, if you’re a Star Wars fan (like I am), then pick it up. If you’re not as familiar with the series, then a lot of the minor details may be lost on you. You also (and even I did) just get lost in the process of cleaning and forget that you’re not your run-of-the-mill power wash crewmember. But if the idea of doing so in the galaxy far, far away appeals to you, then pick it up!
The PowerWash Simulator 2 Star Wars DLC is available on July 16th to all platforms where PowerWash Simulator 2 is available (PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch 2).
