Since Rockstar Games are too busy cooking up the biggest game of all time, Grand Theft Auto VI and don’t have the capacity to make Bully 2, indie developer Refugium Games have us covered.
The developers have confirmed that Agefield High: Rock the School will now be releasing August 12, 2026 on PC via Steam. The game will be coming ‘soon’ to consoles including XBOX Series X|S, Switch 2 and PlayStation 5. A PlayStation 5 physical version is also planned.
To mark the announcement of the launch date, a new trailer has been released showcasing some of the dumb juvenile antics that protagonist, Sam will get up to:
Featuring a ‘small open world’, the 2000s town of Agefield is home to the school campus, two neighbourhoods, a town and then a countryside where Sam can mess around with the local cows.
The game heavily leans into the culture of the era and its raunchy teen comedies. With definite nods to the likes of American Pie, walking down the corridors of school you’ll encounter hot teachers, fight classmates in the park and do just about anything to be cool. There’ll be perverted teachers, angry school security guards and more. If you grew up as a male in the 2000s, this may all seem eerily familiar.
Agefield High: Rock the School will feature 30+ main missions, the opportunity to attend (or skip) class and a pop-punk soundtrack, the likes of which you couldn’t escape at the time.
In the run up to launch, if you haven’t played Rockstar’s classic, Bully, it’s a very fun game that still holds up today. The game is available on PC and PlayStation 4, with the XBOX 360 version being playable via backwards compatibility.
