Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is a little under a month away. The full roster at launch has been known for a while but now the first year DLC has been revealed.
Iroh, Ty Lee, Lin Beifong and Bolin are confirmed to be coming and all of them make sense. Iroh is one of the franchises most popular characters and one of the most popular “Dad” type characters in general. Ty Lee is one of the series strongest non-benders and her ability to chi block should be an interesting (and annoying) gameplay quirk. Lin is the series most prominent metal bender (excluding Toph who invented it) and the perfect choice to represent that style. And lastly, Bolin is one of the series most unique firebenders given his ability to lava bend. Plus he’s funny, so, bonus.

There’s also one more character but they’re not fully confirmed as they’re going to be fan voted. Amon, Tenzin, Asami, King Bumi and General Kuriva will be joining the roster based on who wins the vote. There’s more years for DLC planned so it’s not the end for the characters that don’t make it in. In fact I’m certain Asami, Amon and Bumi will be in one way or another.

Avatar Legends is looking to be one of the best fighting games of this generation based on it’s previews. I personally cannot wait to try the beta in a couple weeks on July 2nd. The full launch for the the game will happen on July 23rd 2026 for PS5, PC and Xbox Series platforms. A Switch version is also planned at a later date. A trailer for detailing the year 1 characters can be viewed here:
