What Do You Get in Each Version of GTA VI?

Rockstar has released a flurry of Grand Theft Auto VI information today, along with confirmation of the Standard and Ultimate Editions of the game. So what do you get in each version?

Let’s Get Physical, Physical?

First off, we know there is a Standard Edition and the Ultimate Edition. The Standard Edition is available both digitally, and “physically”. I use inverted commas, because it has been confirmed that the physical edition of GTA VI will not include a disc, just a code in a box (boo, boo code in a box, boo Rockstar for that).

The RRP for the Standard Edition is $79.99 USD and includes the full game (as you’d expect).

The Ultimate Edition is priced at $99.99 USD and is only availably digitally. Fret not physical buyers, you can upgrade to the Ultimate Edition by buying the Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition Upgrade. Of course, if you buy the digital Standard Edition and decide you want the upgrade, that option is available to you too.

Cut Content?

While you don’t need to own the Ultimate Edition to experience GTA VI, there is a fair bit of content included if you decide to spend the extra dosh for it. The majority of the Ultimate Edition content appears to be cosmetic or variants of weapons / vehicles, however, there is are a few eyebrow raising items too.

Rockstar have opted to make five in-game shops exclusive to the Ultimate Edition, meaning you’ll only be able to access them if you’ve got the upgraded Standard, or the full-fledged Ultimate Edition. These stores allow you to customise vehicles, and your characters with hairstyles, clothing or tattoos. It hasn’t been confirmed if these are exclusive brands of these types of stores, with other good customisation stores for vehicles and characters available elsewhere, or if these are the only way to get said customisation.

The Ultimate Edition also includes an in-game area which you can raid for unique items too.
