Neowiz’s acclaimed soulslike arrives next month on Nintendo’s platform with everything included – base game, DLC, and all.

During today’s Nintendo Direct, Neowiz and Round8 Studio confirmed that Lies of P: Complete Edition will launch on Nintendo Switch 2. The release date is set for August 6, 2026. A physical edition follows later in October. The Complete Edition bundles the base game with Overture, the prequel expansion released in 2025.
Originally launched in September 2023, Lies of P is a soulslike action RPG set in the dark Belle Époque city of Krat. Players control P, a puppet version of Pinocchio. P navigates a world overrun by rogue automatons and a mysterious petrification disease. The game drew widespread praise for its striking atmosphere, precise combat, and imaginative take on the classic fairytale. By June 2025, it had sold over three million copies worldwide.
The Overture expansion, included in the Complete Edition, serves as a prequel to the main story. It explores the early days of the puppet uprising in Krat, with additional boss fights, new areas, and fresh weapons. Furthermore, it earned the Best Game Expansion award at the 2025 Golden Joysticks, underlining the continued strength of the IP.
The Switch 2 port had been anticipated for some time. Developer Round8 Studio previously received Nintendo Switch 2 consoles as staff bonuses. This clearly pointed to a small but telling signal of the platform’s place in the studio’s plans. Additionally, publisher Neowiz has been steadily expanding Lies of P’s reach since the game’s breakout success.
For Switch 2 owners, the Complete Edition represents a strong entry point into one of the best soulslikes of recent years. Meanwhile, Neowiz continues work on a full sequel to Lies of P, currently in the early stages of development.
Lies of P: Complete Edition launches digitally on Nintendo Switch 2 on August 6, 2026. The physical edition arrives in October.
