Fable Gets A New Trailer Narrated by Isabel, The Hero of Wraithmarsh

Fable is one of those games that defined my childhood. From the goofy, carefree intro of a child kicking chickens around his home town to the epic journey you seen set out on, many have been waiting for the next mainline entry in one of the most iconic series in the Xbox catalog. Fable was always one of those games that allowed the player to carve out their path in the way they so choose. Whether that was the path of good or the path of evil was up to you and people flocked towards this level of freedom.

But for many of us, the last mainline entry was a sign of what was to come. Sure it had the Fable name, but the general feel for the game had all but lost what made the first two entries in the series great. Fast forward to the 2020’s, and many fans were feeling left out. Fable had all but faded away during Xbox’s lull and there didn’t seem to be much hope on the horizon for the series as a whole. Yet, like every other old Xbox IP, we have some signs of life.

Released the 2026 XBOX Game Show, we have a new trailer with none other then Hayley Atwell as Isabel, The Hero of Wraithmarsh to narrate over the madness we can come to expect.

Become the Hero you want to be in an immersive open-world action-RPG where each choice shapes your journey, reputation is everything, and fairytale endings are never guaranteed. Customize your Hero’s appearance and wield powerful weapons as you weave melee, ranged, and magical combat. Take on bandits, beasts, and creatures — including brand-new enemies and fan-favorites like Hobbes, Balverines, and Trolls. Your power grows right alongside your reputation.

Beyond all the combat lies a living world where you can carve your own identity. Get filthy rich as a landlord or blacksmith, romance a villager (or three), have a bunch of kids, and watch as your reputation precedes you. Being a Hero is a bit like being a celebrity… if celebrities carried swords and occasionally battled giant fire-breathing chickens.

In Albion, a Hero’s reputation is everything. Your noble deeds and questionable decisions affect your relationship with each villager and can even shape the world around you. Whose opinion matters most? The choice is yours… and so are the consequences. It’s up to you to decide what it means to be a Hero.

Fairytale Ending Not Guaranteed

Will you accept the mantle of hero or be the one that tears it all down? After being delayed just a couple of weeks ago we can now find out on February 23rd, 2027.

Fable is releasing on Xbox Series S/X, PS5, and PC.
