WARDOGS Gameplay Trailer Shown at Future Games Show

Another Competitor Enters The Fray: All Out Warfare

In the FPS genre, all out warfare is often the hardest to do. Balancing vehicles and infantry combat has been the success story for few and the death of many other games throughout the decade. If anything, it’s just difficult to do. With dozens of players, the variables you have to balance are in the hundreds and that’s just for one map. This isn’t to say there aren’t some success stories hidden in the graveyard of titles, but they are few and far between.

The main behemoth that has stood tall amongst the others for years now is none other then the Battlefield series. Though they have seen a slump in recent years, they are consistently the most played and the ones who succeed the most from a monetary perspective. Some others that come to mind is the Hell Let Loose series and Squad. Both of these titles rely on epic skirmishes between infantry and vehicles across huge areas of land, and both have maintained a healthy community that supports them.

Yet another soldier has entered the fray. How does WARDOGS look compared to the others in the genre? I’ll admit it’s shaping up to be a game that stands out amongst the weaker titles in the FPS space. Here’s a brand new gameplay trailer show at the Future Games Fest earlier today.

WARDOGS is an All-Out Warfare FPS that combines tactical gunplay and combined arms combat with building and destruction mechanics in a large-scale, up to 100-player militaristic sandbox. The game mode – Inspired by ‘King of the Hill’ – has three teams fight for control of randomized 2x2km ‘Control Zones’ within larger maps. The team with the most players within the Control Zone earns points – the first team to reach 100 points wins the match. The variables in zone location and individual player tactics mean no match ever plays out the same.

Every moment in WARDOGS is 100% player driven and tied together with local voice chat. You can choose to either talk tactics with teammates or troll enemy players. This is not another ‘Battle Royale’. This is not another ‘Extraction Shooter’. WARDOGS is a new Tactical take on the All-Out Warfare FPS genre that rewards decision making, communication and teamwork and allows you to play how you want within a modern militaristic setting.

Be sure to add WARDOGS to your wishlist to be notified when it launches into Early Access. Early Access will run 1 to 2 years.
