After the success of Among Us, Innersloth created indie game fund Outersloth to help get indie games out there. One such game is upcoming psychological-horror Am I Nima from HO! Games. If you haven’t heard of HO! Games before, that’s okay. The team is a Vancouver-based indie studio looking to make a big impression with their upcoming release. The team revealed additional game play at the Southeast Asian Games Showcase and quickly followed up with their release date at the Story Rich Showcase.
In Am I Nima, you must convince your mother you truly are her daughter. To do so you’ll combine words in your brain and use them to talk and convince her of your truth. Can you get her to trust you?
Unfortunately, when it comes to Nima, you don’t remember who you are. Nima’s mind is fractured and you must now pass your mother’s tests if you want to escape the basement you’ve been trapped in. Through exploring the spaces around you, uncover words and concepts to put your thoughts together. With certain combinations you’ll unlock memories, sometimes to help you understand your situation more, other times you will reveal contradictions to what you’ve learned so far.
It’s important to note that this game may not be suitable for all gamers. Am I Nima features implied depictions of child neglect, violence towards a child, and eye mutilation. The development team shares that there is also imagery of bugs, spiders, and worms in their warning. Prepare yourself when for all of this when Am I Nima releases on October 8, 2026 on Steam.
