At Sony’s State Of Play June, Marvel Tokon revealed it’s next batch of fighters. The Knights Of Doom, lead eponymously by Dr. Doom features Magneto, who’s been a long time fan favorite among fighting game die hards. Much like he was in the Marvel Vs Capcom series, Magneto looks to be a Zoner of sorts. It’s worth noting his moves look more based on traps and more hard hitting than in those appearances.

While Magneto was an expected character given his iconic status, we also have two characters who were long overdue for a fighting game appearance, Green Goblin and Carnage. Green Goblin is often considered Spider-Man’s arch enemy and tends to steal the show whenever he’s involved in a story. Gameplay wise, Goblin looks like a heavy set-play and mix up character using his trademark pumpkin bombs and goblin glider. His goblin glider even looks like it can be summoned and commanded independently.

Equally known as one of Spider-Man’s most prominent enemies and rounding out the line up is Carnage. He is often seen as Spider-Man’s most brutal enemy since his first appearance in the comics in 1991. He looks to fit the role of a pure rush down berserker type character. This makes sense given Carnage being a very violent character that fights like a wild animal.

There’s only one team left to show off in the coming months. One team led by Ghost Rider likely featuring marvels darker or more supernatural heroes. Likely something along the lines of the Midnight Suns. If I had to guess, they’ll be revealed at EVO next month. In the meantime, a trailer for the Knights Of Doom is below.
