The beguiling and unsettling third-person horror game The Florist just got a new gameplay trailer, showcasing new enemies, weapons, and locations, and revealing that it will be coming to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 alongside its PC release.
Check out the “Gardens of Death” gameplay trailer for The Florist below:
Developed by indie studio Unclear Games, the player takes on the role of Jessica Park, a young florist who gets trapped in the seaside town of Joyville while on a last-minute delivery. As a horrifying floral presence takes over the town and its inhabitants, players will have to solve ingenious puzzles, defeat terrifying enemies, and uncover a mysterious, monstrous plan.
A press release that was released at the same time as The Florist’s new trailer shares some details, such as that the humanoid enemies Jessica is seen fighting at the beginning are called ‘Seeds’. “No longer alive, their bodies are controlled by organic growth which instinctively move to attack and draw nutrients from living organisms.” Seeds are not the only horrors that Jessica has to deal with, as Joyville has its own stalker-like enemy in The Harvester, the large, sack-dragging figure we see crashing through the floorboards. He is described as “laser-focused on finding something years in the making”, and Jessica would be wise to solve the mystery of Joyville before he succeeds.
As with any good horror game, it will be up to the player to decide whether to run and hide or stand and fight, with the first of The Florist’s ranged weapons, the Catclaw Revolver and the Rosetta Shotgun, being put to good use. The press release also says that there are hints of other, more deadly weapons that Jessica can use against her floral foes, so let us know if you spot them in the comments below.

Lastly, we got to see more of the outdoor environments that will make up the town of Joyville, and it looks like not an inch of it has been spared by the violently spreading vegetation.
The Florist quickly became one of our most anticipated games after getting hands-on impressions with it at New Game Plus (as part of The London Games Festival) in April, and with the announcement that it will be coming to PS5 and Switch 2 now, as well as PC, it’s great to know that even more people will get to witness this new take on horror bloom.
The Florist will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2, with no release date confirmed as of yet.
