Perhaps you have heard the phrase, “the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach”. When it comes to food, I can confidently say, as a woman, it’s also the way to my heart and soul. The developers over at Yangyang Mobile also believe the way to one’s heart is through food, in this case, donuts! If this sounds familiar, this may be that you caught our coverage of High Times – Dating/Cooking Sim from Pax East 2026.
In case you missed it, High Times has its players behind the counter of a donut shop where the right ingredients can make all the difference. While this is core to the gameplay, it’s also core to the story of High Times. What started as a closure simulator with your exes became something more. It became “a donut-making sim about helping people figure out their emotions and maybe giving failed relationships a second chance (romantic or otherwise).”
When do we get to meet all 30+ characters and begin serving donuts? Glad you asked, High Times will be releasing on July 23, 2026! Check out their release trailer below.
For those who were looking closely at the trailer, there is more good news! High Times is not only on Steam but also Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
High Times also boasts some pretty fantastic voice acting. If you’ve watched a few of their trailers or played the demo you may recognize a few. Perhaps you recognized Nola Klop who plays Poppy in Poppy Playtime. Or was it Johnny Yong Bosch know for his many anime characters? YouTuber turned voice actor LilyPichu who may be best known for Sayu in Genshin Impact. Another Genshin Impact alum, Kayli Mills plays Zoey who we see featured in the release date trailer. There’s a few more fantastic VAs rounding out the cast so you an be surprised when you play or check out their character voice video. All of the characters are voiced outside of the main character, that’s you! There are over 30 diverse customers each with multiple endings offering a lot of replayability.
Throughout the game you’ll provide donut therapy by listening closely to the customers and providing them the perfect mood-altering snack. Get them to open up or feel confident enough to take on their problems heads on! As you succeed you’ll also get to create new recipes, decorate your bakery and unlock new tools to make even better treats. Decide how you want to decorate your bakery in this beautiful looking visual novel. It is also accompanied by an original soundtrack and fully animated cutscenes.
