The Caribou Trail is a short WWI adventure game about a regiment from Canada’s Newfoundland in the battle against the Turkish at Gallipoli. Many of the game’s achievements are straightforward during this linear experience, but they are nearly all missable at various points of the game. In this guide, we will show you where to unlock the highly missable Toffee Apple Bomb achievement for using the artillery once during the evacuation of Gallipoli. There is no chapter select in this game; if you miss the chance to unlock the achievement, you will need to replay the game till this point.

Toffee Apple Bomb Achievement Guide
Note: Whilst it is not entirely clear if it is required, it is advised that you speak with the gentleman who looks after the artillery guns earlier in the game at any opportunity. In one exchange, you will talk to him about getting the guns ready for the evacuation. They are stationed at the same location throughout the game until you use them for this achievement. Until that point, they can be found here:
This achievement is unlocked late in the game. Following the death of Lonnie, you will meet with his sister and sit and have fish and brewis on the beach. After that section, you’ll be starting the evacuation of Gallipoli with Gordon. After preparing the first section, you’ll pass under a trench gap and shake hands with Gordon during a brief cutscene before he goes left, and he sends you right.
Move right and follow the signs for the Support Lines. Keep progressing down the trench as far as possible before there’s a right turn. Around the corner is the artillery gun. You need to interact with the gun to prepare the shell.
Once you’ve fired the shell, you will get to see the shell explode in No Man’s Land and unlock your achievement/trophy. Good luck escaping Gallipoli from here!
