The Caribou Trail is a short WWI adventure game about a regiment from Canada’s Newfoundland in the battle against the Turkish at Gallipoli. Many of the game’s achievements are straightforward during this linear experience, but they are nearly all missable at various points of the game. In this guide, we will show you where to unlock the I’m Doing My Part achievement/trophy.

I’m Doing My Part Achievement Guide
This is unlockable at the very start of the game; whether it is possible to undertake the required action at another location, or a return visit to the beach, is unclear at the time of writing. However, if you miss this achievement opportunity here, you will be able to unlock it quickly in a second playthrough.
Once you’ve gone through the opening section where you’re riding the boat into Gallipoli with your fellow soldiers, you will gain control of Fisher on the beach in a calmer period during the daytime.
From where you take control, you want to head to the highest point of the beach, which overlooks your battleships still in the ocean. This is the hill behind Lonnie here:
Up on the hill, you’ll be able to speak with your partner Gordon. Next to Gordon, to the left in the image below, is a shovel to assist with digging a trench. Interact with the shovel and complete a few on-screen instructions to dig a trench, which will remain in this location throughout the entire game:
And with that, your achievement/trophy will unlock. Congratulations!
