Some of us attended New Game Plus at the London Games Festival last month, and we wanted to highlight some of the 90 games that were featured there, and have demos for you to check out right now!

Find Your Words

It’s the first day of summer camp, and adventures await!
Enjoy a short, cozy adventure with Find Your Words, a game made by two dads who want to celebrate their non-speaking kids’ journeys using AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) to find their voices. Take things at your own pace at Camp Pals, a lush world filled with wildlife, beautiful views, and a cast of charming characters.
Collect symbols in your binder and use them to communicate, with different combinations having unique meanings and opening up new interactions and activities. Get to know the other campers, take part in various hobbies and games, from painting to hide-and-seek, and find special moments on this journey of connection and understanding.

Astro Burn

Inspired by ’90s titles like Parodius and Pop’n Twinbee, Astro Burn is a chaotic cute-em-up that combines bullet-hell gameplay with adorable critters.
You play as Astro, a cute cat on her way home to Earth, but their descent through the planet’s atmosphere quickly turns into a hectic nightmare of strange biomes populated by bizarre enemies. Between stages, the story of Astro Burn plays out, and clearly, not all is well with Astro. With her trusty robot companion at her side, can she find the answers to what above Earth is going on?
Arm Astro with outrageous weapon options, gather temporary power-ups, and keep up with the onslaught of weird and wacky foes, from giant cyber pandas to flocks of flying penguins. Miss one too many upgrades on a run, and the game will catch up with you fast!

Rhell: Warped Worlds & Troubled Times

Rhell: Warped Worlds & Troubled Times is a semi-open world puzzle adventure game, using a growing collection of special runes to solve a variety of puzzles in any number of ways. With 40 runes you can mix together, resulting in over 100 million combinations, use your own creativity to find your solution.
Explore nine distinct biomes and choose how to interact with the few other characters left behind, and shape Rhell’s stories with your choices. Will Rhell help people, softening over time, or will she focus on her quest, ignoring them and sticking with her rude ways?

Ascend: A Zodiac Puzzle Adventure

Step into the role of Auora as she sets off to ascend a mountain and complete the zodiac trials to save her people, as well as conquer her own fears and struggles.
In Ascend, you’ll solve ancient puzzles based on the constellations and collect tarot cards as you ascend a mystical mountain that houses the secrets of a lost civilisation. Use Aurora’s Time Turner to change the time of day between Day, Twilight, and Dusk to alter the landscape and discover hidden paths.
A beautiful looking 3D platformer with a range of puzzle mehanics, from sliding blocks to guiding beams of light, Ascent is a game that no puzzle-platformer fan should pass up. Miami Avalon have teamed up with Safe in Our World, a charity focused on supporting mental health awareness through video games.

Chat with quirky clientele, discover new bands and their dramas, or slack off with your colleagues in Wax Heads, a cozy-punk narrative sim about running an old school record shop, Repeater Records. Immerse yourself in an emotional story that centers around music, community, and the unwavering underdog spirit.
Pair customers up with one of over 80 hand-drawn albums with all original tracks that span the gamut of musical genres, based on clues about their personalities and stories. Each character is fully realised, with fun banter and some interesting takes, all with a shared love of music.
Give the perfect record recommendations, uncover mysteries about the bands, scroll social media, and enjoy a variety of minigames, from designing posters and packing orders to organising band equipment and running the lights at a local gig.

Thrifty Business

Run your very own 90s-inspired vintage thrift shop in Thrifty Business, a richly-coloured cozy life-sim. Expand your little store into a hub for your community, getting to know your customers, helping them with requests, and host events to bring everyone together.
Clothes, antiques, and toys are just some of the over 500+ nostalgic items you’ll sell, displaying them across various rooms you can theme.
Start by adjusting your layout and setting up racks and shelves before unpacking your vintage goods. Group them how you want, and gain community points according to how organised your shop is, which can be used to unlock more cosmetics for you to use, from furniture and decorations to wallpapers and floors.

Frog Sqwad

Gather the sqwad for up to 8-player co-op extraction puzzle platformer, where you try to gather food from the sewers for the gluttonous Swamp King!
Joining the ranks of games like RV There Yet?, PEAK, and Lethal Company, Frog Sqwad guarantees complete chaos as you and your friends use your froggy tongues to swing from pipes, pick up objects, and lick each other! Eat enough food to swell up into a Megafrog to roll around with a booming croak, but get hit and you’ll spit up everything you’ve swallowed, while taking damage on an empty stomach will reduce you to a pitiful frogspawn.
Use physics-based objects to solve platforming challenges and puzzles, all while avoiding the creatures lurking in the sewers. Grab enough food to reach your quota, and return triumphantly to feed your spoils to your ruler, and use the Gold you earn to purchase gadgets and physics toys to help you on future runs. Outclaw

Outclaw combines classic 3D platforming action with creature command mechanics the likes of which we haven’t seen since the Overlord series.
You play as the five-eyed cat, Comet, who finds themselves lost in a strange world. Traverse 12 unique levels and collect little feline shades to aid you on your adventure. Command your chaotic horde to fight for or alongside you against a menagerie of monsters, and have them transform into all manner of objects, from bombs to bridges, to help navigate your surroundings.
Scour each level for secrets and unlock cosmetics for your hub and over a hundred different accessories for your shades, letting you personalise your shadowy troop. Learn more about this bizarre and beautiful world from a kooky cast, solve puzzles, fight baddies, and find your home among the stars!

REMOTE CONTROL

REMOTE CONTROL is a sci-fi horror typing game that blends the unsettling corporate environment of the TV series Severance with the constant mounting tension of Alien: Isolation.

The crew is all dead, the incident has gone undocumented, and only you can learn the truth of what happened. But you’ll have to be careful, you only have 12 Proxies to discover the truth, and while they can’t resist your typed-out commands, humans are flawed and liable to make mistakes.
Get lost in the dark sci-fi mystery, searching the spaceship, interacting and collecting items, and dealing with the consequences of your actions. The bloody horror of it all getting a bit much for you? Take a break and step away from the terminal and relax in your office, where there is definitely nothing strange going on…

A cozy noir puzzle game set in the murky underbelly of London, Case Solved: The London Files has you investigating several murders: Everyone has a motive, only logic reveals the truth.

Echobreaker
