LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Reveals Absolute Batman Skins

Warner Bros. Games and TT Games have revealed that a skin based on the ongoing Absolute Batman comic series will be featured in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight when it launches next month.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is the fourth mainline installment in the long-running crossover between the toy line’s video game adaptations and DC Comics’ iconic superhero comic book universe. This new entry blends elements from various animated and live-action adaptations with the trademark LEGO video game humour, while also seemingly incorporating combat and exploration elements from Rocksteady’s Batman Arkham video game franchise.

Today, Traveler’s Tales and Warner Bros. revealed a new skin that will be featured in the game. This one is based on Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta’s Absolute Batman comic book series, which began releasing in October 2024. The skin recreates the distinct look of the comics, with Batman featuring his metallic shoulder pads and chunky chest plate. We also see Catwoman donning her mechanical tail and giant helmet.

The trailer features long-time comic book writer Scott Snyder playing the game with one of the game’s developers. We also see a brief glimpse of the combat. Unfortunately, the Absolute Batman skin does not grant players access to this incarnation’s trademark hammer, nor does he feature quite the exaggerated stature of his 6’6″ comics counterpart. This doesn’t come as too much of a surprise given that these are just skins and not distinct playable characters.

While the release is only just over a month away, WB Games and TT Games have promised more reveals soon. Make sure to keep an eye on Gamer Social Club as we continue our coverage of the game until launch.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will release for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on May 22, 2026. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is slated to release later this year.
