With THQ announcing Darksiders 4 officially last August, many fans have been patiently looking forward to the 4th entry in the series featuring the Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Today, a new video up on the PlayStation YouTube channel confirms that Darksiders: Warmastered Edition will be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series consoles on May 19th.
Darksiders: Warmastered Edition is an enhanced remaster of the original game that sees you playing as the first Horseman, War, as he seeks revenge on those who wrongfully accused him. Originally released the first time in 2016 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the Warmastered Edition was later ported to the Nintendo Switch in 2019, making the game very accessible for new fans of the series.
Darksiders: Warmastered Edition Features:
- Native 4K visuals, 60FPS
- Haptic Feedback for the Dualsense
- New Photo Mode
- All previous features and enhancements in the 2016 release of the Warmastered Edition
Currently, the game is available for physical pre-order at retail for the cost of $29.99 USD. Currently, there is no word on if it will be a free upgrade for digital versions of the Xbox One/PS4 release, but it is likely, as when THQ rereleased Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition towards the end of 2024, it had a free upgrade for existing owners.
With THQ rereleasing the first game to the current generation of systems, hopefully, we will hear more info on Darksiders 4 later on this year.
