Darksiders 4 Announced at THQ Nordic Showcase

Six years after the last title, Darksiders Genesis – Darksiders 4 has finally been revealed, and it looks like the series is going all in this time. Announced at the THQ Nordic Showcase; Gunfire Games (of Remnant: From the Ashes 1 & 2 acclaim) is leading development again, with all four Horsemen; War, Death, Fury and Strife now playable. The story picks up right after the original Darksiders, returning to a post-apocalyptic Earth and promising a mix of third-person combat, traversal and puzzle-solving.

One major shift is the introduction of co-op gameplay, as highlighted on the Steam Store Page. You’ll be able to play online with friends, potentially with each of you taking on one of the Horsemen. While there are hints of four-player multiplayer, the finer details haven’t been fully clarified yet.

No release date has been given, but it’s confirmed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. If you haven’t picked them up before, good news – the previous entries in the series are also all available for at a heavy discount off across all platforms as part of the THQ Nordic Showcase Sale.

If you’ve been waiting for the Horsemen to finally ride together, this could be the one that delivers. Are you a fan of the Darksiders games? Let us know down below!
