Project Songbird is the newest title from Connor Rush and Fyre Games. It’s set in a lovely cabin in the woods, where you, as Dakota, are looking for inspiration for your new album. Here is our Ear To The Ground achievement guide for Project Songbird.

As part of your creative journey, you can find a Field Recorder so you can record the nature around the cabin to help get the songwriting juices flowing.
The game has 3 Acts and 7 Field Recordings in total to find – luckily, GSC has the rundown for where to find them all.
Note: The Field Recorder will beep when there’s a sound nearby, and will turn green if you have successfully recorded a sound.
The Woodpecker: The Woodpecker is available immediately on day 1, once you finish unloading your last box into the cabin. Head to the trail behind the cabin, and you’ll spot the woodpecker perched on a tree next to the chain link fence. Grab it while you can, because it’ll disappear after Act 1 ends.

The Stream: This one’s a freebie, honestly. You’ll need to cross the stream to progress the story early in Act 1. Just cross the old wooden bridge at any point and record those running waters.

The Fish: The fish is a little more difficult, as you need to backtrack to find it, luckily it’s available in both Act 1 and 2. Pop back to the shore by the boat on days 2, 3, 17, and 18 – you’ll see the fish flopping and splashing about in the distance next to a rock.

The Toad: You can only find the toad on day 17 (the first day of Act 2). It’s in the small nook of flowers past the church gate. Head as if you’re going to the area where you found the painting in Act 1, but go right instead of left before you get to the stream.

The Flies: Days 17 and 18 are your window here. Remember that grassy field where you found the painting under a tree in Act I? Head back there and look for a hidden cave tucked amongst the rocks. Crawl in and you’ll find a swarm of flies hanging around some unfortunate animal bones.

The Drip: Once you get access to the church you can grab this recording on day 18 or 23. As you enter, turn to the right and find the puddle near the door (under the Jesus is Love poster). There’s water dripping from the ceiling above it – you’ll need to point the field recorded at the puddle to get it.

The Owl: This is the tricky one. You’ll walk right past the owl in Act 3, but you won’t have your recorder on you, which is annoying. After you leave the mines and follow the guiding light past the owl, grab your backpack. Then backtrack to the owl with your recorder in hand and get that recording.

After you’ve got them all, you should unlock the Ear to the Ground Achievement in Project Songbird! Congratulations.
