1348 Ex Voto tells the tale of a young knight-errant, Aeta, who is looking for her cherished friend Bianca. She has been taken, and Aeta must fight through a plague-ridden medieval Italy to save her. The game boasts ‘historical European Martial Arts’ as core to its combat, as well as a cinematic medieval Italy to explore. Not only that, but it has Jennifer English (Clair Obscur: Expedition 33) playing Bianca alongside seasoned theatre actor Alby Baldwin. Stay tuned for our review coming soon.
1348 Ex Voto is available now for PC and PS5. An Xbox Series version was in development but was cancelled.
1348 Ex Voto: Chapter 8 – Siege Collectibles Guide
In 1348 Ex Voto, you will collect sheet of paper. These sheets of paper count as skill points, so you can upgrade your health, guard and unlock new attacks, amongst other things. They are scattered throughout the chapters of the game as you play. Some easy to find, some a little more well hidden.
There are also sword parts, treasures and trinkets to find too.
We have listed the locations we have found below. There may be more to find in a level and if so we’ll do our best to update the guide as we find more.
The + numbers next to the location title is how many ‘skill points’ you’ll receive in each location that are papers.
These are listed in the order they were found.
Treasure (1 / 1) – Santa Gertrude
Not far from the beginning of the chapter, you’ll fight an enemy on his lonesome. After dealing with him, you’ll carry on through the forest and encounter two more enemies. After taking them out, you’ll climb up some rocks and drop down. From there you can go left or right. Left is the main path, we want to head right.
Follow the path to the rgiht and you’ll find a small cave with a fire. Here you’ll the treasure.
Paper (1 / 5) – +15
In the same place as the treasure above, just behind the fire.
Paper (2 / 5) – +10
You’ll enter the military base / town area as part fo the main path. After passing the dead pigs and reaching the first open space, head to the left into a small tent. The paper is on a table to the right.
Trinket (1 / 1) – Holy Bandages
You’ll carry on through the abadoned area of the military town, after jumping over a small barricade you’ll spot a wooden fence on the right. There’s a cart to the left you have to move to get over the fence. Go inside the tent where the cart was blocking and you’ll get the trinket in a bowl of water on the table.
Paper (3 / 5) – +10
You’ll happen upon three guards who you’ll need to defeat. They’ll comment they think you’ve got the pestilence. After defeating them carry on the path forward until you can turn left or follow the path a bit to the right.
Go to the right and into the tent down the path. The papers are lying on a bed to the right of the tent.
Paper (4 / 5) – +10
Where you went right instead of left, now head left to carry on. In the first tent on your left you see, head in. The paper is on the right on a small table.
Weapon Part (1 / 1) – Ultima Grip
This one is a touch more involved. After taking out several enemies and dropping down into a murky, bloody, shallow pool of water. You’ll ascend a slope and fight several enemies. After you’ve dealt with them all you’ll arrive at the location where you can go left or right. The main path is to the right, we want to head left.
You’ll have spotted a stone structure with a metal gate that you can’t access. We’re heading into that area.
Head to the left of the area you walk into and out on to the wooden walkway. There you’ll see a crate hanging by a rope. Use your sword to chop it down.
Jump down and push the crate to the wall on the left. You’ll see there’s a bit of fabric draped over the wall (where you can jump up).
Climb up and the weapon part is to the left of the area on a wooden table.
Papers (5 / 5) +15
You’ll have to drop down and head back round from collecting the weapon grip above. Once you’ve arrived back at the crossroads as above, head left once more and into the camp section proper. The papers are sat on a table underneath a tent at the back of this area.
