With only two weeks left to wait until Life is Strange: Reunion, the finale of the Max Caulfield and Chloe Price saga, we finally got our first real look at gameplay during the Future Games Show, March 2026.
In a spoiler-free trailer – which is totally okay to watch if you haven’t played Double Exposure yet – we get to see Max and Chloe reunited and attending a Caledon campus event.
With Chloe clearly an outsider to Caledon, Max enters the Abraxas masquerade to secure a mask for her to enter. Max’s rewind ability and dorky way with words gets her into the house and on a mission to secure the needed mask disguise for Price. It’s a classic Life is Strange-type location, with items to observe, people to mock and items to secure.
The trailer shows that several of the locations from Double Exposure are going to be re-used including the lakeside bar that Amanda works at, with Chloe and Max sat on the pier and taking a paddle boat ride out. I’m pretty sure the moment of that in the game will be full of feels.
The footage is Max gameplay focused and we don’t get to see any of Chloe’s backchat which we know will return from Before the Storm.
The trailer finishes with “I just want you to know… I’m so excited to make these memories with you”. Well, Mrs Caulfield, the power is in your hands to decide what these memories are, and Caledon’s fate is.
If you’re wondering how Chloe is alive in Reunion if you killed her in the original, we’ve got an explainer for you here.
Life is Strange: Reunion arrives on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC on April 26, 2026.
