REPLACED’s March Date Replaced by April

With less than a month to go until REPLACED, the much-delayed cyberpunk 2.5D action game from Sad Cat Studios has been postponed by a month, and will now launch 14 April 2026. Previously set for a 12 March release date, the extra month will give the studio extra time to give the game final polish and stability tweaks.

In a statement from the studio, Sad Cat had the following to say:

Sad Cat added on social media that they’re particularly focusing on ensuring the game will work better on lower-end hardware.

The delay comes following the release of a Steam demo which I highly encourage you to check out. Having played through the ~20-minute vertical slice on my Steam Deck OLED, I can assure you that REPLACED is as exciting, and beautiful as it looks.

We will be sharing further thoughts in the March edition of Gamer Social Club’s Demo Disc, a monthly piece where we bring you the most exciting demos for upcoming games that you can try for free. I can’t wait to experience the rest of this stunning 2.5D game when it arrives on Xbox Series, Xbox Game Pass and PC (Steam, GOG, EGS) in less than two months.

REPLACED is one of the most exciting platformers of the year, if you’re a fan of the genre here’s five more that you definitely should keep an eye on.
