2026 is already off to a flyer, with GSC awarding our first 10/10 to climbing title, Cairn and the excellent Nioh 3. That said, with the good, often comes the bad.
One of 2026’s worst reviewed games so far, Code Violet – which we scored 5 / 10 at Gamer Social Club – is somehow going to see a sequel. Announced by the controversial developer, TeamKill Media the next chapter in protagonist, Violet’s story will be titled Code UltraViolet.
We’re actively progressing on several exciting projects, with more announcements and reveals coming your way very soon.

Today, however, we’re especially thrilled to share some big news with the entire TeamKill community.

Where a game has a Metacritic critic and user score that is incredibly low, it often leads to the franchise being killed off pretty quickly. However, the game has captured something of a cult following with select fans who have enjoyed the dinosaur focused, PlayStation 5 exclusive action game. On social media, each TeamKill post is followed by a small army of studio fans praising the mostly panned game – in an era where it’s easy to collectively hate a poorly reviewed game, it’s rather obscure.
The developer themselves have been very controversial pre and post-launch, with suggestions that the developer were seeking copyright takedowns of negative Code Violet content. Their decision to keep the game as a PlayStation exclusive and off Steam which has (mostly) consumer friendly refund policies, suggested they knew the game was in a rough state.
The controversy of the game may, after all, have played into TeamKill Media’s hands as they set their sights on a sequel. After all, the age old saying often rings true – there’s no such thing as bad news.
